The PIMCO Fund Operations team is responsible for the operational oversight of PIMCO mutual funds, interval funds, exchange traded funds, and closed end funds. The team is responsible for the oversight of the various transfer agents and vendors, to ensure that our clients (shareholders, financial advisors, back offices) receive quality support and service.
As a Fund Operations Specialist, you will handle escalated service issues, drive process improvements and enhancements, oversee fund events/corporate actions, handle due diligence meetings with top intermediary partners, monitor quality of service delivered by transfer agents and vendors, and be responsible for the oversight of several transfer agents and vendors.

Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the oversight of various transfer agents and vendors that support our US funds.
- Point of contact for escalated issues from clients (shareholders, financial advisors, back offices), internal groups (Legal, Compliance, GWM), and service providers and transfer agents.
- Ensure quality service delivery to shareholders across funds/products and regions.
- Oversight of corporate actions/fund events with our transfer agents and other service providers.
- Approve responses to inquiries received via our website and to potential complaints.
- Drive system and process enhancements and share best practices across service providers, trusts, and regions, to mitigate risk and improve our client experience.
- Assist with Compliance requirements (15c, 38a-1), audits, vendor and intermediary due diligence meetings, etc.
- Back-up coverage for global regions, including Canada and Brazil.
- Oversight of shareholder cash reporting to the cash desk and fund orders to portfolio management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience with transfer agents, financial intermediaries, or asset managers.
- Current FINRA Series 7 or 63. Must obtain 24 within twelve (12) months of hire.
- Experience managing intermediary and distribution relationships, as well as with trading platforms such as Schwab, Fidelity, Morgan Stanley, etc.
- Project management experience related to process enhancements.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency in additional languages, particularly Portuguese or Spanish, is highly desirable.
PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.
Salary Range: $ 87,000.00 - $ 128,000.00
