About Us
CBRE is seeking a motivated and experienced business development professional to take a leadership role in developing opportunities for CBRE Renewables’ Transferable Tax Credit Advisory team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the transferable tax credit marketplace and the ability to effectively cultivate relationships within Tax and Sustainability departments at medium to large corporate accounts.

What You'll Do
- Lead Business Development Efforts: Spearhead business development efforts for Transferable Tax Credit Advisory, developing and executing on your own book of business.
- Manage and Grow Relationships and Pipeline: Establish and enhance relationships with key prospective customers by implementing tailored approaches to their transferable tax credit procurement programs.
- Act as an Advisor: Serve as a trusted advisor for clients, guiding them through the process from initial discussions to tax credit purchase execution and beyond.
- Innovate: Utilize market feedback to inform the development of new products and services related to transferable tax credits.
- Thought Leadership: Collaborate with the CBRE Renewables team to create informative collateral, participate in industry conferences, and contribute to initiatives that further establish CBRE as a leader in the field.
- Process and Reporting: Implement and optimize process where needed. Regular internal reporting on progress, key milestones achieved, status, and clear next steps will be critical.
What You'll Need
- Proven experience and knowledge of renewable energy tax credits.
- In-depth understanding of regulations pertaining to tax credits under the Inflation Reduction Act.
- Exceptional ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships particularly with key decision makers and stakeholders within an organization.
- Can thrive in a fast-paced environment while being exceptionally organized
- Strong analytical skills with excellent communication, negotiation and solution selling skills (directly tailored to customer needs) up to executive levels.
- Transactional experience preferred but not a critical requirement.
- 7+ years of work experience in a professional/corporate environment
CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $160,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $200,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
