We are looking for an outstanding, career-minded individual to work as a Staff Services Manager III on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Team.
Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Manager will work across the enterprise to foster a culture of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) and manage systems and risks arising in these areas. The SSM III will focus internally and externally, by using data driven research to build and implement CalSTRS’ Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Framework and Strategy. CalSTRS DEI Manager will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission to create a workplace that reflects the diverse members we serve.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
- Experience presenting to a board or similar body
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- Professional certification from SHRM, HRCI, IPMA or other like organizations
- Exhibits professional demeanor, and the ability to establish and maintain cooperative relations
- Ability to explain complex topics to diverse groups
Every 12 months, based on performance evaluation, employees may receive a 5% salary increase until they reach the maximum salary for the position.
CalSTRS offers a hybrid approach including in-office and remote work solutions with staff working on-site at our Headquarters in West Sacramento 2 days per week.
