Our Story
Boston Hill Advisors provides wealth management, investment solutions, and financial planning services to individuals, families, and institutions. Our founders have backgrounds in portfolio management, risk management, treasury, finance, and institutional money management. Our goal was to take the same principles that we used in institutional asset management and bring them to individuals and families.
Please note this position requires you to be in the office from Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm.
What You’ll Do
As the Investment Operations & Trading Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing our investment operations. Your responsibilities will include managing the team, conducting daily meetings, addressing prior day issues, and prioritizing tasks. You will also be instrumental in reforming policies and procedures, improving processes, and ensuring effective communication with advisors and paraplanners.
- Manage a team
- Conduct daily IO team meetings
- Work on prior day issues, open items & priorities
- Reform policies & procedures; process for new accounts, transfers, cash etc.
- Enhance the Clear teams tasking system
- Routine interface with advisors and paraplanners
- DCA strategy and consistency; spot check DCA accounts – advisor interface
- Process improvement - own investment operations
- Tax loss harvesting strategy and implementation
- Legacy holdings review and outreach
- Legacy performance analysis & recommendation
- New account holdings transition to model
- Work closely with advisors during onboarding
- Investment analysis on new business opportunity
- Share class review and monitoring
- Analyze low-cost options
- Review exceptions and exclusions
- Composite review BHA Models - build composites
- Performance review ALL accounts
- Variance analysis and follow-up outlier accounts
- Review 401k performance
- Major account review - performance holding
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of investment operations or investment account experience
- Investment knowledge of mutual funds, ETFs and other investments
- You are comfortable working in a rapidly changing and high-demand setting
- You work well in a team environment
- You initiate tasks and can work independently
- Management experience in financial services
- You are focused on details and capable of prioritizing and organizing tasks
