The Safety, Security and Resiliency Analyst will serve as an analytical and project management resource to William Blair’s team responsible for safety and security, which comprises the following functions: Emergency Response, Crisis Management, IT Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity, Physical Safety and Security.
This individual will lead project management and process improvement efforts, identify improvement opportunities, design new workflows, & define business and technical requirements for new and existing team capabilities. The individual will also effectively track the execution, communicate the status, & help deliver on these multiple interconnected projects throughout the firm. The successful candidate will blend strong business & process expertise with effective stakeholder management, project management, & communication skills.
Responsibilities Include But May Not Be Limited To
- Develop detailed project objectives, scope, goals, and deliverables for projects of moderately complex scale. Define tasks, identify project resources, and assign individual responsibilities. Assist with project budgets for input from the team Directors. Obtain stakeholder approval of scope, timeline, and budget.
- Utilize project management techniques to ensure overall project health and visibility through project governance, milestone development, work breakdown, and project tracking and reporting.
- Support the on-going delivery and maintenance of firm’s Business Impact Analysis (BIA) framework to include the elements: Governance Documentation, BIA Data Collection tools, Business Process Maps
- Develop and maintain all Standard Operation Procedures (SPOs), work instructions, training materials related to the organization’s virtual Global Security Operation Center capability
- Assist with the monitoring and tracking of Executive member travel in conjunction with the duty of care provider
- Help track and monitor firm sponsored events and ensure the appropriate levels of security are applied
- Help facilitate the execution of business continuity plans and ensuring updates are tracked and completed in a timely manner
- Create detailed documentation and associated deliverables to support team initiative objectives. Abide by business requirements, test strategies, scripts, workflows, and the like to ensure successful project delivery.
- Support business Requirements activities by providing end-to-end analysis for product and initiatives with respect to data requirements, data flows, data modeling, workflow context and design.
- Monitor emerging practices and technology tools for potential adoption.
- Provide the team Directors of (and other stakeholders and program participants) with regular reports, dashboards, and scorecards on the operational status of the program.
- Ensure that work activities comply with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Emergency Management, Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Business, Criminal Justice or equivalent field
- 3-5 years’ experience in business continuity planning or relevant field such as, safety and security, emergency management, disaster recovery or resiliency management
- 3-5 years’ experience in process improvement methodologies
- 3-5 years’ experience in enterprise program/project management
- Ability to articulate Safety, Security and Resiliency concepts and methodology
- Advance experience deploying program/project management framework in complex environments
- Advance experience using process modeling framework
- Knowledge of and experience with current industry standards
- Demonstrated proficiency in Office 365 suite, data visualization tools (Microsoft BI or Tableau), and business continuity planning software
- Strong interpersonal and indirect influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence of stakeholders at various organizational levels
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to cultivate cross-functional relationships to achieve strategic objectives
- Excellent prioritization and time management skills
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- High level of personal initiative, creativity, and self-motivation
A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range at time of posting is below. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits. Actual base salary within the specified range is based on several factors, including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior relevant experience, specific degrees and certifications, job responsibilities, market considerations and, if applicable, the location of the position.
This role is eligible for either a discretionary annual bonus (based on company, business unit and individual performance) and/or commission-based incentives.

Salary Range
$78,000—$90,000 USD
