Bain Capital CLO Portfolio Team Analyst Overview
As an integral member of the team, the Analyst will provide direct support to the Portfolio Managers and aid in the implementation of Bain Capital Credit’s investment strategy and CLO portfolio objectives.
Responsibilities
Supporting the construction and management of CLO portfolios and other relevant funds including, current portfolio positioning and optimization, risk monitoring and compliance resolution, cash and liquidity management, trade idea generation, and related portfolio analyses
Coordinating with back, middle, and legal teams to facilitate the operations of funds and monitor investment compliance and guidelines
Liaise directly and oversee relationship between CLO Compliance Team and PMs
Maintaining model portfolios updates, diligence requests, and closing date activities to support new CLO originations
Maintaining reports for historical performance metrics
Assisting in the preparation of investor presentations in collaboration with fund operations and marketing teams
Assisting with qualitative and quantitative request from clients
Responding to ad hoc requests from the CLO PM Team, including portfolio trading analyses, portfolio performance, cash forecasting models
Qualifications
Strong academic credentials (BS/BA from highly-regarded institution) and a demonstrated track record of successful work experience
1+ years of post-undergrad business and/or investing experience
Experience interacting with and assessing senior management teams
Ability to work collaboratively in team environments and strong relationship-building skills
Excellent communication skills with ability to synthesize complicated analyses concisely and to articulate insightful conclusions compellingly.
