The State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio (STRS Ohio) is seeking a Securities Operations Specialist I or Securities Operations Specialist II to join the Finance Accounting team.

Compensation:
Grade 7N: $30.20-$33.97/ hr.
Grade 8N $36.11-$39.72/ hr.
Work Schedule:
8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday, with up to two days per week remote work opportunities.
General Summary (Grades 7N & 8N):
Under the direction of the supervisor, Investment Operations, ensure securities transactions are executed within State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio’s (STRS Ohio) policy and perform duties related to the processing of securities transactions.
Summary of Responsibilities (Grades 7N & 8N):
Research and process corporate action events for designated asset class coverage.
Process daily investment transactions related to purchases and sells of bonds, stocks, alternative investments and real estate.as well as transactions for dividends, interest, principal and corporate action events into the investment management system.
Work with external brokers and internal departments to match trade activity.
Notify custodian banks of trade activity by stated deadlines.
Assist with the review of daily reconciliations and preparing official monthly reconciliation in the investment management system. (Grade 7N)
Review and complete daily position reconciliations and prepare official monthly reconciliation sign-off on assigned portfolios in the investment management system. (Grade 8N)
Provide back-up support in the daily review and processing of futures transactions (Grade 8N)
Responsible for the monthly reconciliation of domestic external manager cash. (Grade 8N)

Summary of Requirements (Grades 7N)
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate degree in a related field preferred.
One to three years of investment processing or related experience preferred.
Knowledge of investment management systems and industry securities operations preferred.
Proficiency with spreadsheet applications required.
Excellent organizational skills and high degree of accuracy and attention to detail required.
Summary of Requirements (Grades 8N)
Bachelor's degree required.
Three to five years of investment processing or related experience preferred.
Knowledge of investment management systems and industry securities operations preferred.
High level of quantitative, analytical, and mathematical skills required.
Proficiency with spreadsheet applications required.
Ability to work with and preserve confidential information required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Excellent organizational skills and high degree of accuracy and attention to detail required.
Proven ability to operate Microsoft Office programs and standard office equipment required.
