Scope
The successful candidate is responsible for managing large scale, enterprise-wide Programs. Programs involve delivery of critical strategic business, data and interoperability capabilities that impact multiple business units or disciplines. The function manages a BU project or program to successful outcome.
This role is responsible for aligning resources, overseeing the budget, creating project plans and tracking key milestones/risks/dependencies using the Scaled Agile Methodology. This is the key coordinator to ensure Implementation of critical business capabilities or regulatory change.
- Focus of role is on execution of a program initiated to deliver a change in the strategic direction of business function activities; expansion of critical business capabilities or implementation of cross business unit regulatory change.
- Manages implementation of complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues
- Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business and technology to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity
- Communication of program objectives; risks; issues and overall status to multiple levels of the organization.
- Facilitation of cross discipline (business unit) coordination for decision making regarding scope; prioritization and issue resolution.
- Mentors BA team.
- Drives the resolution of issues identified working closely with operations teams and external partners to agree revised business processes or technical changes.
- Collaborate and communicate with third parties, executive sponsors and senior management stakeholders and partner groups in particular the supported business function to ensure that all initiatives are efficiently managed and delivered.
- Build credible, trusted advisor relationships with the key stakeholders at all levels of the organization and also third parties.
- Delivers regular progress reports which present a concise, accurate status of the project, ensuring a consistent status is communicated up to the overall program.
Required Experience
- Highly motivated, team player, self-starter and ability to work independently
- Detail oriented, strong analytical skills, advanced judgment capability, strong problem solving, and ability to manage workflow
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Remaining calm under pressure, having excellent negotiation and conflict management skills with sufficient gravitas and credibility to work with the other PM’s on the project to manage resources, dependencies etc.
- Financial industry knowledge.
- Experience working with Agile release Trains.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Asset Servicing Custody business
- Strong understanding and experience of trade life cycle.
- Experience in managing cross program Dependencies, Interoperability and Data.
- Awareness of Swift messaging standard.
- Knowledge of T2S.
- Experience of ADO or Jira.
Salary Range
$114,700 - 194,900 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
