Amalgamated Bank seeks a highly motivated professional to assist in the oversight of workflow and ensure the efficient operation of the Accounting Department. They will also act as support to officers in Accounting Department.

Essential Job Function
- Provide back-up coverage in all functions of the department.
- Maintain the Bank’s general ledger and subsidiary ledger account, including but not limited to posting and preparing opening, adjusting, and closing journal entries.
- Perform account reconciliations between the general ledger and financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly Board report.
- Prepare schedules for quarterly regulatory Call Report filing.
- Prepare weekly cash flow report ad pricing table to be presented at ALCO.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual financial statements.
- Ad-hoc reporting and special projects as required by management.
- Perform various administrative duties as directed by Manager.
Knowledge, Skills, And Requirements
- B.A. in Accounting or related experience.
- Strong accounting skills and knowledge of government securities.
- Two (2) to three (3) years related accounting experience.
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Good verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base pay for this role is between $26/hr- $30/hr. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferrable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
