Job Summary
The IT Applications Manager is responsible for maintaining existing Prime Finance Platforms and ensuring the performance and continuity of business-critical software platforms such as Microsoft, Eden, Dropbox, Keeper, Center, Yardi, Built, Juniper Square, and Argus.
This Is To Be Accomplished By
- Taking handoff of new platforms or modules from the project management team after implementation and monitoring contract performance, internal customer satisfaction, and product roadmaps.
- Collaborating closely with AI and Data Architecture team to ensure that appropriate controls are in place in platform systems to ensure quality data feeds into Microsoft Fabric and other data and machine learning initiatives.
- Defining and managing projects to improve Business Application end user support including identifying, monitoring and reporting on SLAs and application usage.
- Defining strategy and managing projects or initiatives to improve usage and satisfaction with existing business platforms.
- Managing Yardi resources including the Yardi System Administrator and any Yardi consulting resources.
- Collaborating closely with IT Infrastructure and the Desktop Support team on Jira workflows.
- In the course of this work, the IT Applications Manager will also work closely with the VP, Information Technology and the Director, IT Project Management and Optimization to define and execute priorities and projects for themself and the Yardi team that align with business priorities.
Responsibilities
Strategy
- Work closely with the Director, IT Project Management and Optimization to define annual priorities for existing critical business applications and projects needed to meet those priorities.
- Develop relationships with key vendor contacts, particularly account managers and customer success managers.
- Dive deep with key business stakeholders to ensure that IT projects are closely aligned with business needs.
- Seek opportunities to interact with similar companies who use our key vendors to cultivate relationships that will help us take the most advantage of our software.
- Plan for and execute on system upgrades and enhancements.
Vendor Management
- Take the lead in scheduling and including appropriate IT and Business team members in periodic platform reviews.
- Monitor performance against contract terms if appropriate.
- Review applicable vendor invoices.
- Monitor product roadmaps to determine new features that will add business value.
- Attend appropriate Vendor Conferences alongside business users to gain insight that will help drive strategy.
- Monitor and recommend appropriate licensing levels for all systems.
Application Support
- Act as a system administrator and oversee configuration changes to better support the business.
- Oversee, maintain and apply role-based authorization to business applications to support compliance and system integrity and availability.
- Participate as an SME in the service desk ticket workflow when incoming tickets require advanced application knowledge, system administrator access, vendor interaction, or new modules.
- As part of taking handoff for new software, ensure that the project team provides appropriate internal and external facing documentation. Review and update as needed.
- If training needs are observed, work with the Yardi Team or the Director to provide training or secure training resources.
Yardi Team
- Manage the Yardi System Administrator and 3rd party consultant(s).
- Assist Yardi System Administrator with monitoring Yardi queue and ensuring end users are following process to initiate Yardi requests.
- Assist the Director of IT Project Management and Optimization with monitoring progress against defined Yardi priority list, bringing urgent new priorities to leadership, and leading quarterly backlog grooming.
- Monitor quality and billing of Yardi contractors.
- Evaluate and communicate the need for additional Yardi resources related to Training, Implementation, Report Creation, etc.
- Assist with prioritization and scheduling of Yardi initiatives and monitor progress against goals.
Qualifications - 8+ years of experience leading IT business application projects and managing internal resources or consultants to deliver results in a real estate, investment management or finance environment.
- Related bachelor’s degree is required.
- Experience working at an advanced level with Yardi or managing Yardi resources required, and experience with Argus, Juniper Square, deal pipeline software, password management software, and/or CRM software strongly preferred.
- Experience with and understanding of a majority of the following preferred.
- Azure, provisioning, managing and maintaining resources
- Microsoft 365 Administration (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams)
- Power Platform Administration (Power Automate, Power Apps)
- SharePoint sites & lists, OneDrive, Loop, Forms
- Jira Service Management
- Power BI
- Experience in/exposure to real estate, alternative investments, private credit, tax, accounting, fundraising, investor relations and/or finance sectors is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels internally and with external vendors.
- Ability to quickly learn and understand Prime Finance current processes, requirements, and technology stack.
Logistical Requirements (logistical requirements are subject to change based on business need but are anticipated to be):
- Need to be able to adjust schedule as needed to respond to needs in different time zones.
- Ability to travel approximately quarterly to NY and Chicago offices and to appropriate industry conferences.
The expected salary for this role is $127,500 - $194,000. Actual compensation will be determined by several components, including but not limited to: relevant experience, skills and qualifications, base salary of internal peers, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and a variety of financial, wellbeing, and health / welfare benefits.
