Job Title: Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies (BREDS) Operations, Associate
Job Description:
The BREDS Operations team is responsible for executing new investing and capital markets transactions across the BREDS business, as well as oversight of daily portfolio activities and cash flows.
- Assist with the operations of BREDS AUM and related transactions, including the firm’s publicly-listed REIT, Blackstone Mortgage Trust (NYSE: BXMT), its private fund structures, and insurance vehicles
- Partner with investment professionals and others in BREDS Finance based in New York and London to execute new investment transactions and financing strategies
- Oversee aspects of the BREDS offshore operations team and dedicated portfolio company servicing and onboarding team
- Execute investment funding activities with the BREDS asset management team, including any related treasury, debt financing or foreign currency considerations
- Liaise with BREDS asset managers and the servicing and onboarding team to validate monthly interest income calculations, funding/paydown activity, and waterfall cash remittances
- Review monthly and quarterly investment portfolio analytics for senior management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a similar discipline (CFA is a plus)
- 3+ years of experience in transaction services, a private equity fund, consulting, or other relevant real estate debt roles
- Experience in the financial services and/or real estate industries is preferred
- Proven ability to work in a dynamic environment that requires the execution of transactions as well as projects and initiatives in support of a rapidly growing business
- A highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel is required

Expected annual base salary range:
$105,000 - $140,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
