Get to Know the Opportunity
This position will be part of the Alternative Product Solutions team, a small, dedicated team responsible for the product development and growth of Voya’s private and alternatives platform. The privates and alts platform manages over $60 billion across a suite of private credit, infrastructure, direct lending, and project finance, and real estate debt strategies, among others. Growth of the private and alts platform is a key corporate initiative, with a robust product pipeline across multiple investment strategies and asset classes. Preference is for a candidate with knowledge of alternative investment strategies and market trends within the private credit space. The position will be key partner with to our internal stakeholders in building out new, innovative solutions. An ideal candidate is able to leverage strong research and analytical expertise with project management skills to help bring client forward solutions from ideation to completion.
The Contributions You'll Make:
Act as key point of contact within product team for assessing our newest, most innovative future product ideas. Research, assess and provide feedback to Senior Product Managers, Investment and Sales teams on new ideas to drive product development pipeline.
Perform research and monitor key industry trends within the alternatives and asset management landscape. Track and follow competitor offerings to identify potential opportunities for Voya.
Partner with Senior Product Managers in the project management of new fund launches with the ability to engage and partners with subject matter experts (i.e. portfolio management, legal, operations, accounting, finance, compliance, and risk) to assess pre-launch readiness and ensure appropriate risk management and governance framework, metrics and monitoring are in place.
Identify and evaluate evolving product structures and investment strategies that are appropriate for Voya IM and our clients. Develop working knowledge of new product structures (e.g., closed end funds, evergreen funds, interval funds) to make recommendation on go-to market strategy.
Understand the unique characteristics of various fund vehicles, including the associated implications on tax, regulatory, valuation matters to support the distribution of new and existing strategy capabilities.
Monitor the broader new product pipeline and ensure updates are communicated to the broader team and management. Assist in the preparation of committee and board material.
Minimum Knowledge & Experience:
6+ years of financial services‐related experience in the asset management industry (preferably at an alternatives asset manager) or in product development or market research related roles.
Experience or working knowledge of private market strategies, particularly within private credit, infrastructure and real estate required.
Strong organization skills with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional product initiatives.
Strong research, analytical, and quantitative skills. Ability to synthesize data and present research in a cohesive manner to influence and inform senior leadership.
Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills, strong knowledge of PowerPoint.
Understanding of product wrappers (e.g. private placements, Delaware LP, Cayman, closed end funds, interval funds, evergreen funds) a plus.
Highly proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Experience with project management tools, PowerBI, or Tableau a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to build relationships across teams. Team player with positive attitude and pro-active approach to work.
Undergraduate degree with an excellent academic background; additional credentials including CFA, CAIA, MBA a plus.
Series 7 and 63 or ability to obtain within 90 days of start date.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:
Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.
The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
$115,000 - $140,000 USD
