The Corporate Affairs department at Blackstone plays a critical role in shaping and guiding the firm's communication strategies, both within the organization and externally. Key areas that comprise the department: Public Affairs, Marketing, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives.
Job Description:
Blackstone seeks an accomplished and dynamic professional to join as VP, Global Advertising to manage the orchestration of advertising campaigns across Blackstone’s key audiences and regions in close partnership with creative agencies. Reporting to the Global Head of Advertising, this role demands strategic planning, adept budget management, expert agency management skills and a strong understanding of the creative process. The successful candidate will serve as a pivotal point of contact between our company and creative partners, ensuring that all advertising efforts are cohesive, brand-aligned, and impactful.
As a critical member of the broader global marketing team, you’re passionate about advertising and have proven experience partnering with creative agencies to develop and deliver compelling creative assets as part of omni-channel campaigns (digital, social, video, print, etc.) designed to drive awareness, favorability and consideration. You’ll partner externally with our agencies of record (AOR) and across the broader marketing organization including Public Affairs, Design, Production, Digital, Content, Technology and Compliance to drive the successful execution of campaigns. The ideal candidate will be an insights-driven marketer, entrepreneurial in spirit and passionate about building, developing, and optimizing campaigns at scale.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Day-to-day contact for creative agencies of record in the U.S. and Japan driving development of campaign creative from insight to idea to production.
Lead development of creative agencies’ scopes, budgets, optimizing for cost-effectiveness and quality with oversight from Global Head of Advertising.
Actively manage campaign schedules and deliverables development and production, proactively flagging milestones and potential roadblocks. Ongoing, clear and consistent communication with creative agencies and production partners to ensure alignment with creative and production milestones and workstreams.
Tight coordination and partnership with the media lead to ensure media and creative workstreams are in synch and delivering against plans.
Proactive stakeholder management across corporate affairs, legal and compliance and other business partners to drive consensus and alignment throughout the creative development process.
Communication of campaign creative status and presentation of concepts to senior stakeholders and across corporate affairs organization on an ad hoc basis
Partnership with regional marketing leads to develop and drive successful campaigns in top-tier markets globally.
Ability to communicate performance insights uncovered with the broader team to creative agencies, to inform and adjust campaign creative strategies for optimal performance.
Support invoicing and forecasting as needed, working in coordination with broader team.
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in digital marketing, advertising or brand management roles or agency experience for B2B, B2C, or complex markets/audiences.
Proven track record of working with creative agencies to develop assets for advertising campaigns.
Strong communication skills and creative visual storytelling skills; effectively collaborate with designers, marketing managers, executives to provide creative solutions and recommendations.
Expertise in creative agency management, budgeting, project management, and creative oversight.
Experience in developing agency and/or vendor MSAs, SOWs and procurement / onboarding processes.
Strong understanding of and experience managing the creative production process across formats: video, banner, print, social, etc.
Experience working in an integrated capacity with internal and external agencies and teams
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a talent for fostering collaborative relationships.
Strong PowerPoint skills and ability to develop strategic presentations showcasing creative assets and campaign results.
Experience working in collaboration tools, e.g. Box, Microsoft Teams, etc. Experience with project management tools/platforms a plus.
Familiarity with asset management and financial advisor audience a plus.

Expected annual base salary range:
$140,000 - $200,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
