The Role:
Blue Owl is seeking to add a Principal level Asset Manager to the Blue Owl Alternative Credit team with a focus on managing a team focused credit monitoring and fundamental financial analysis. The Asset Manager will oversee and manage a small, dynamic, team of credit analyst and portfolio reporting personnel with responsibility for supporting senior Asset Managers on surveillance of existing positions. The position is primarily located in Dallas.
Responsibilities:
Manage team of seven credit analysts (analyst and associate level) in day-to-day monitoring and surveillance of financial asset. equipment leasing and corporate credit investments
Assist senior members of Asset Management team with leadership, guidance, and mentorship of junior talent
Develop policies and procedures to ensure accurate covenant monitoring and compliance tracking
Oversee credit analyst team completion of credit-related tasks such as:
Review of financial analyses, borrowing base reviews, and draw request approvals
Prepare borrowing bases, compliance reports and MSR for leverage facilities.
Monitor compliance report of Interval Fund
Participation in borrower update calls
Production of quarterly cash flow models for individual transactions
Ensuring timely receipt of reporting from borrowers and management teams
Providing support during negotiations with borrowers for modifications and other requests from management team
Assisting with documentation of amendments, leverage facilities and other legal matters
Oversee third parties (backup servicers, field examines, custodians) etc.
Participate in monthly Asset Management meetings with senior Blue Owl management
Qualifications:
Experience with Asset Based Lending (minimum requirement) or Asset Based Securities – asset class including consumer, commercial and equipment leasing
Advanced skillset in fundamental financial analysis and preparation of financial spreads
Experience reading and understanding legal documentation (negotiating and executing leverage facilities a plus)
High levels of ownership and drive, able to work independently
High integrity with sound judgment
Self-aware with desire to grow; seeks and responds to constructive feedback
10+ years of experience at a commercial bank or an investment firm with credit monitoring experience
