Lazard is seeking an experienced Associate to join the Global Technology Group in Charlotte, NC. Lazard’s technology franchise spans the globe and focuses on advising both large cap technology leaders on their most critical transactions as well as private companies and private equity firms on monetizations. The Global Technology Team in Charlotte primarily focuses on Industrial Software and has a well-established, leading market position advising leading founder-owned and private equity companies. This position offers an outstanding career opportunity in investment banking with a highly successful team specializing in mergers and acquisitions in an exciting, high growth software vertical. Lazard’s Industrial Software team has executed over $10bn in M&A over the past five years and has an extremely robust pipeline.
We’ll trust you to:
- Analyze client financial and performance information
- Run financial models and conduct analysis
- Perform company and industry research
- Assist in the preparation of client presentations and marketing materials
- Interact with senior bankers and clients
- Play a crucial role in executing sellside M&A processes
- Assume a high degree of autonomy and responsibility
You’ll need to have:
- A minimum of three years relevant work experience in mergers & acquisitions investment banking
- Strong analytical skills with training in the building of presentation materials and financial modelling
- Proven academic excellence with excellent attention to detail and high standards of accuracy
- Team player mindset; ability to work as part of a close-knit team with high levels of integrity
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate both to deal teams and external clients
- Strong ability to multi-task
- High level of responsiveness with a strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining a high-quality work product
