Manager of Data Capabilities
What does a great Manager of Data Capabilities do at Fiserv?
You’ll be a part of Global Business Solutions (Merchant business) –Credit & Fraud Risk – Lending team responsible for managing end to end risk strategies for lending products. This team is focused on optimizing loss results while enabling growth for the business. As a part of this team, you’ll be using internal and external data assets to generate insightful analytics, build models/rules, create data driven capabilities/solutions to manage risk and identify new areas of opportunity. This position will be a critical interface with stakeholders within and outside Fiserv in building best-in-class analytical solutions.

- Become a key enabler to develop data driven capabilities and implement automated decisions using existing and new data, advanced analytics and SMB credit underwriting
- Get great exposure to the payments industry, the merchant and transaction data that flows through payment networks as we apply innovative techniques to prevent fraud and credit losses, and support growth, specifically from digital channels.
- Measure and realize how your work contributes to reducing losses/expenses and supporting business growth/revenue.
You Can Look Forward To
- Driving the transformation of risk data capabilities/products and decision systems through advanced and sustainable technology, new data sources and real-time decisioning.
- Partnering with third-party vendor partners for evaluating data products and automated solutions for bank statement data to be used in risk assessment
- Integrating and validating data attributes from internal and external sources in the analytical sandbox and production platforms, including front-end merchant onboarding to back-end risk management systems.
- Partnering with Technology team throughout the lifecycle of deploying new data capabilities from project kick-off / requirements gathering to post-deployment validation.
- Measuring efficacy of risk data products through key performance indicators / trends, identifying improvement opportunities, and presenting to business leaders.
- Leveraging data analytics to generate actionable insights, continuously improving, and adopting new technology solutions.

Basic Qualifications For Consideration
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science / Engineering)
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas: risk
- Proficient in SQL and Excel/Pivot tables with basic knowledge of data analytical tools and open-source programming languages such as Python/R
Preferred Qualifications For Consideration
- Master's Degree
- 6+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in risk products and external data sources
- Local candidate near Berkely Heights, New Jersey
100% in Office Opportunity - Not a remote or hybrid position.
Salary Range
$110,700.00 - $189,700.00
These pay ranges apply to employees in New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
