About The Role
The Manager of the global Crisis Management function, residing in the Enterprise Resilience team will report directly to the Senior Executive Vice President of Enterprise Resilience. They will be responsible for development of a formal Crisis Management program, including a new policy, that will bring global management, improvement, and maintenance to existing Crisis Management procedures already in place today.
This manager will be responsible for ensuring Citco’s preparedness and response in the event of a crisis affecting our operations or staff at a global, regional, or local level. This role is client facing, as they will need to represent Citco as a key contributor to Citco’s Enterprise Resilience program. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and managing crisis management programs on a global level, with a strong background in Business continuity in the financial services sector. This position will be based in Charlotte, NC with requirement for occasional travel, which may be domestic or international.
Your Role
- The Manager of Crisis Management will manage the existing global Crisis Management team as well as ensure all local CMT’s are operating effectively.
- The manager will be responsible for administration of our global Emergency communication tool, Onsolve, used by the Enterprise Resilience team and all BCP Coordinators worldwide. This includes managing permissions, tracking all notifications sent, and working with the vendor on any open tickets or enhancements.
- This manager will be responsible for the administration of Crisis 24, our Emergency alerting system, used by the Enterprise Resilience team, Group Risk Management team, and BCP Coordinators globally. This includes training and working with our BCP team to incorporate the intelligence reports into the BCP Risk Assessments.
- Defining and developing the use of Crisis 24 for executive notifications and awareness of events affecting Citco office locations and security intelligence reporting.
- Responsible for working with executive leadership of all Citco business units to develop a formal Crisis Management Policy and Standard Operating procedure that works for their business and operations, and utilizes Citco’s existing Service Desk and emergency communication platforms.
- Will be responsible for developing Crisis Management program reporting and metrics for use in the overall Enterprise Resilience reporting. This should include metrics on readiness, testing, and crisis event reporting.
- Serve as the Crisis Manager for regional or global events that impact Citco. Regularly engage the Global Crisis Management Team (GCMT) which includes senior executives from the following departments: IT, Security, HR, Legal, Citco Business Unit leadership, Finance, Risk, Compliance, BCP/DR and Facilities.
- Collaborate with BCP and DR Teams closely to understand plans for business operations and systems in the event of outages, building this into the Crisis Management procedures where necessary.
- Utilize the BCM software, called Fusion Risk Management, which operates on a SalesForce platform to build, create and pull reports.
- The BCM Program may look to undergo certification for ISO 22301. This role will be responsible for assisting with readiness during the certification process.
- Maintains Crisis Management program calendar to document milestones, meetings, testing and other deliverable dates.
- May attend and speak for the team during client meetings.
- Contributes to global Enterprise Resilience training development and rollout.
- With minimal guidance, as a Crisis Management expert, works independently to manage the Crisis Management function and cross-trains the Enterprise Resilience team on CM tasks where necessary.
- Contributes to major program milestones, such as DR tests, with the rest of the Enterprise Resilience team. May require 3-4 Saturdays a year.
- Assists with development of projects and programs to improve BCM compliance for the company. May complete similar tasks for vendor continuity .
- Contributes to the evaluation of testing protocols each year in response to personnel changes, etc.
- Development and regular review of CM templates and documentation.
- Maintenance and update of CM documents on the Enterprise Resilience SharePoint portals including data archival.
- Utilization of online IT service and support tools to search and create Change Orders, Request tickets, and company-wide notifications.
- Scheduling and leading conference calls with teams across many countries and time zones.
- No direct reports to start.
- This position may require long hours including nights, weekends and holidays should a crisis event be experienced. Candidates must be willing to travel domestically and internationally.
About You
- You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent; a degree in emergency management or crisis management preferred.
- You have a deep understanding of Crisis Management with applicable leadership and minimum 5 experience in a Crisis Management position for a global company.
- You have Business Continuity and/or Disaster Recovery experience.
- Crisis/Emergency Management certification preferred.
- You have corporate leadership and decision-making skills.
- Effective and professional business writing skills.
- You are reliable outside of regular business hours to lead and participate in a crisis event.
- Familiarity with ISO 22301; experience going through certification preferred.
- You have an understanding of IT concepts and general technologies.
- You have experience leading conference calls with business executives and IT staff.
- You have experience using SalesForce platform (a plus).
- You have experience using OnSolve and/or Crisis 24 (a plus).
- You have experience using Fusion Risk Management BCP software (a plus).
- You have proficiency using Microsoft SharePoint.
- You have proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- You have complex problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- You have excellent communication and documentation skills.
- You are self-directed; Self-starter.
- You have Project Management Experience and Skills: You are organized and able to keep track of many tasks at one time. Able to prioritize work according to deadlines.
- You have availability and willingness to travel occasionally for business.
