Responsibilities:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team with evolving responsibilities. The Vice President will play a vital role in the development of the technology audit coverage model in collaboration with the Head of Internal Audit. This is a dynamic position that will require strong relationship management skills as you will partner with senior technology leadership to build-out a robust technology audit function as a core vertical of Internal Audit. The Vice President will also oversee the scoping and planning of technology assurance and advisory engagements, develop and deploy audit and analytical procedures and techniques to assess the design and operating effectiveness of the controls to mitigate the risks across the organization, and engage with the firm’s management to present the results of assurance and advisory engagements. In addition, you will also monitor and follow up with management on the resolution of open audit findings.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of a technology audit coverage model over information technology and information security / cybersecurity risks globally
- Assist in developing and driving the annual audit plan, including dedicated technology and business-integrated audits
- Serve as an information technology expert, keeping pace with industry, regulatory, and technology framework developments
- Lead and execute assurance and advisory engagements through their end-to-end lifecycle, in accordance with Internal Audit methodologies and quality standards
- Manage communications with stakeholders throughout engagements, including the drafting of audit reports or other management reporting
- Lead continuous monitoring efforts, partnering with the CTO / CISO or their delegates to track key technology and security strategy initiatives, including system implementations
- Oversee the team responsible for SOX technology risk assessments and ITGC / ITAC testing programs and collaborate with external auditors
- Oversee the departments technology budget and maintain the Internal Audit technology solution
Basic Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience as a technology auditor, leading audits covering IT / IS application and general controls, performing risk assessments, preparing audit plans, building stakeholder relationships, and delivering results to senior management
- Experience in cloud operations, cybersecurity operations, vulnerability management or other IT operation-based specialist roles
- Understanding of software development and system architecture
- High level understanding of databases, operating systems and messaging
- Executive level communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to partner effectively with multiple business groups, corporate areas, and external auditors
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in SQL, R, or other data analysis languages
- Ability to review code (Java, C++, Python, etc.)
- Understanding of asset management businesses, regulatory requirements and financial products
- Experience with data analytics and visualization tools and techniques
- Relevant certification or industry accreditation that demonstrate proficiency in information technology / information security related risks (e.g., CISA, CISSP)
- Experience of designing efficiency improvements or automated solutions
