Your Role:
- Engage in research and other quantitative analysis to improve current investment strategies in collaboration with existing research team.
- Collaborate with other researchers, portfolio managers, risk managers, and traders to develop new and improve current investment strategies.
- Perform statistical and economic research using financial and alternative data to develop new return predictive signals.
- Run statistical analysis on large datasets, analyze economic relationships between variables, and develop prediction models for stocks.
- Conduct research on various aspects of the implementation of investment strategies including trading cost models, risk models, optimization, and portfolio construction.
- Add features to research system to implement new research ideas.
- Conduct portfolio monitoring and performance attribution analyses, as well as maintain processes for cleaning and loading financial research data.
- Perform quantitative analysis of market data, fundamental data, and other types of alternative and/or unstructured stocks data.
- Derive effective trading signals from data.
- Analyze data and resolve stock selection issues using complex statistical and machine learning models.
- Utilize Python and either Numpy, Pandas, and/or Sklearn.
- Communicate finance and economics concepts using quantitative methods.
- Design programs to generate trading signals.
- Telecommuting Permitted 2 days per week.
What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Operations Research, Information Engineering, or a related quantitative field of study
Four (4) years of experience with quantitative analysis of market data, fundamental data, and other types of alternative and/or unstructured stocks data; deriving effective trading signals from data; analyzing data and resolving stock selection issues using complex statistical and machine learning models; Python; Numpy, Pandas, and/or Sklearn; communicating finance and economics concepts using quantitative methods; and, designing programs to generate trading signals.
The salary range is $160,000 - $180,000/year. AQR offers generous benefits: 100% paid Medical, Dental and Vision coverage.
