The Investor Services Team is responsible for a variety of activities throughout the lifecycle of our Funds. In this role, you will be responsible for handling the day-to-day execution of all Fund-related operations activity across reconciliation, reporting and investor support. The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively and operate in a fast-pace and deadline-driven environment where priorities often change.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for reconciliation of Fund investments, including daily transaction activity as well as monthly/quarterly valuations.
• Coordinate the reporting process for Funds, including preparing quarterly reports that add color to the quarterly financial statements.
•Responsible for analyzing fund financial statements and performing detailed reviews of investment activity to identify performance drivers.
• Possess a basic knowledge of accounting principles and be able to extract and analyze data from financial statements and bank statements.
• Learn and master HL Technologies that are used for generating reports, reconciliations and investor data requests.
• Manage investor inquiries and requests through the HL investor portal, providing timely and accurate responses to ensure a positive investor experience.
• Interface with a diverse group within Hamilton Lane across various departments, including the Investment Team, Research, Reporting, Business Development, Legal and Senior Management.
• Assist with department wide initiatives and process improvement.
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS; Education and/or Experience:
• College degree (B.A., B.S. or B.B.A.).
• 2-6 years working experience
• Financial Services and/or private equity experience
• Highly motivated and organized; detail-oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and be able to prioritize workload
• Proactively identify challenges and offer solutions
• Must be highly proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
