The opportunity:
The Sr Accommodation Specialist Integrated Absence & STD works with FullscopeRMS Customers including the employers, employees, and the employee’s health care providers to explore and implement workplace accommodations, including leave as an accommodation to keep or return employees to performing the essential functions of their job. The AS acts as an accommodation subject matter expert to FullscopeRMS Integrated Absence & STD teams and its customers with regard to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) as well as other federal or state regulatory policies or insured disability plans. In this role, the AS works closely with the Senior Manager & Legal counsel to ensure services are compliant. The AS collaborates with key claims partners, business stakeholders and customer points of contact to execute on the business service agreement.
How you will contribute:
Providing day to day support of FullscopeRMS customers’s regulatory obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) and other federal or state regulatory policies or insured disability plans alongside and in collaboration with the customer’s HR and management team, specific to both leave and non-leave workplace accommodations.
Assisting FullscopeRMS customers’ and their employees in the detailed components of the ADA and PWFA interactive process, which includes (but is not limited to):
Identify Need for Accommodation
Medical Certification
Essential Job Functions
Intitiation of and Completion of Interactive Process Discussions
Evaluation of Leave, Stay at Work, and Return to Work Accommodations
Evaluate for Alternative Accommodations
Determine Approximate Cost for Accommodation
Assessment if Requested Accommodation would cause Undue Hardship for Employer
Relaying Assessment to Employers to aid in Employers’ Decision to Accommodate
Follow-up for Success
On-going Communication
System Tracking and Reporting
Evaluation of Requests for Accommodations
Facilitation of, and engagement in, interactive dialogue with employees, medical professionals, supervisors, and HR business partners to assist employees who require workplace accommodations based upon a medical condition.
Documentation of the request for accommodation including detailed points of contact and actions taken to coordinate the accommodation request.
Assisting employers with identification of essential functions of the job and reviewing employer’s job description.
Working closely with FullscopeRMS Legal to obtain advice concerning legal requirements.
Maintaining current knowledge on State and Federal laws and regulations surrounding the ADA and other relevant legislation
Providing ADA specific education to employers and employees.
Partnering with external vendors and/or other resources to explore effective accommodation options (e.g. Job Accommodation Network)
Protecting and maintaining personal health information with a high level of confidentiality abiding by FullscopeRMS procedures and by HIPPA, ADA, PWFA, and other state and federal requirements, rules and regulations as applicable.
What you will bring with you:
Ability to work with a diverse group of people
BS/BA in Vocational Rehabilitation, Human Resources, Counseling or the like or equivalent experience managing accommodation requests.
Experience in two or more of the following areas: RTW Services, Labor Relations, Absence Management, Disability Claim Management, Project Management
Experience with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act).
Ability to Communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of both internal and external FullscopeRMS business partners, peers, and resources.
Attention to detail with documentation, reporting and communication.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Facilitation skills in a variety of circumstances and with a wide variety of input. Ability to influence and teach. This influence translates into business needs and goals supporting a customers’s human resource capabilities.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Self-directed with an ability to work independently and make independent judgments and decisions while also knowing when legal and compliance issues need to be escalated to FullscopeRMS Law.

Salary Range: $56,100 - $84,200
