The Impact you will have in this role:
As a Director in IT, you will be a strategic subject matter expert and leader of the IT Asset Management team, playing a critical role in modernizing how we manage our configuration management database, the inventory of our assets, the data model around it, and all the relationships among those systems. This role provides a unique growth opportunity to use your experience, communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills to transform and advance some of our most critical support functions. You and your teams will drive the governance of ITAM and our CMDB, our inventory and use of hardware and software, as well as leveraging advanced discovery processes to ensure the most accurate controls are in place. As a Director you will be looked at as a leader in not just your space, but across the broader organization with influence to drive improvements and alignments with your practices and others.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership, governance, and direction for our ITAM teams for CMDB, HAM, SAM, and LCM, including the responsibilities to manage staff.
- Manage the modernization of the ITAM process and taxonomy, adopt industry standards, and transform the capabilities for the future.
- Advance the DTCC data model for applications and services, and align to an industry standard data model.
- Governance of the processes that support ITAM overall, including HAM, SAM, CMDB, and LCM.
- Drive Configuration Management Database (CMDB) data quality and coverage efforts.
- Be responsible for our Software Asset Management (SAM) practices and its overall integration into DTCC processes, including the tooling ecosystem to support.
- Lead all aspects of our Hardware Asset Management (HAM) practices and their integration with processes across DTCC.
- Supervise and strategically grow Lifecycle Management as a practice for the organization.
- Collaborate with all engineering teams, business service, and technical service owners ensuring they are aware of ITAM capabilities and their responsibilities for their data in the CMDB
- Align with process, operations, and those responsible for life cycle management of their components to ensure completeness and alignment with upstream and downstream impacts.
- Establish and maintain documentation of policies, procedures, job aids, and reports.
- Ensure process efficiency by implementing the key performance indicators, driving improvements to the process continuously with the teams.
- Advancement of automation capabilities where applicable, evolving both process and the way data is captured and managed.
- Leadership and active involvement in audit and regulatory reviews

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 12 years of related experience, including IT delivery, operations, service management and/or support
- Bachelor’s degree with master’s is a plus.

- Proven track record of implementing and/or transforming ITAM functions.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology
- Familiarity with Infrastructure design standards for modular, secure, and resilient applications to drive root cause analysis across the breadth of the enterprise.
- Deep understanding of IT Asset Management principles, configuration management, and ITIL best practices
- Solid understanding of ServiceNow, the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and its application in the IT Asset Management space
