Job Purpose
The RIA Sales Desk Director's overall responsibility is to create and sustain a top performing sales environment operating at the highest level of integrity and compliance.
Essential Responsibilities
- Trains RIA Internal Consultants to meet the sales goals of the organization.
- Serves as a resource to the RIA Sales Desk while acting as a liaison with various departments within Jackson, including but not limited to: New Business Units, Licensing, Commissions, Compliance, Broker Services Management, Product Management, RIA Support Desk, and Marketing.
- Provides operational and sales support, sales coaching, and motivation to their teams, including building sales presentations and teaching territory management skills.
- Develops associates for successful career advancements to RIA External Consultant, Sales Desk Management, or other Jackson positions.
- Provides periodic development reviews for RIA Internal Consultants that evaluate performance objectives and core competencies.
- Monitors sales calls and electronic communication to observe RIA Internal Consultant's demeanor, technical accuracy, sales ability, appointment quality, compliance, and adherence to company policies.
- Performs miscellaneous special tactical and strategic projects as assigned by management.
- Conducts interviews with potential RIA Internal Consultant candidates.
- Engages in recruiting events to support the hiring needs of the RIA sales desk.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of Jackson products, policies, procedures, and systems.
- Ability to develop staff through training, guidance, feedback, and support.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to conduct a variety of sales and non-sales related training modules and deliver presentations.
- Ability to define, set, implement, and monitor procedures.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Needs to have the ability to prioritize while managing multi-tasks.
- Must be a detail-oriented, well-organized self-starter with high energy and creativity, and the ability to adapt to change in a positive manner.
- Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Will be working within a general office environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience required.
3+ years of financial services industry experience required.
Prior management or leadership experience preferred.
FINRA SIE, FINRA Series 6 or 7, FINRA Series 63, State Insurance License required.
FINRA Series 24 or 26 required. Applicants without the required registration(s) will have 90 days to obtain the required registration(s), but will be limited in job function until complete registration(s) is obtained .
