JOB DESCRIPTION
Portfolio analysts contribute across all facets of the Enhanced Cash strategy. The analyst role works closely with the lead portfolio strategist on idea generation across the strategy including views on duration and asset allocation. The analyst role also contributes to the team’s external strategy marketing as well as internal communication of the team’s strategy and views. An ideal candidate has strong communication skills, excellent work ethic, and a deep-rooted interest in fixed income markets, specifically in ultra-short and low duration bond strategies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor the Enhanced Cash team’s Funds, UCITS, and SMA’s durations, asset allocation, and returns.
- Support the lead investment strategist for the Enhanced Cash and Low Duration team.
- Identify market opportunities and trade ideas across U.S. Treasuries and agencies, investment grade corporates, asset-backed securities (ABS), and mortgage-backed securities (MBS).
- Help on day-to-day oversight across portfolio construction, risk management, and thematic implementation consistent with firm and team views.
- Create and update market commentary, marketing content, client decks, and pitch books.
- Analyze performance attribution and risk metrics.
- Run lead on monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc requests regarding the Enhanced Cash and Low Duration team.
- Communicate the team’s strategy on duration positioning and asset allocation decisions internally to client managers, with the opportunity to meet with clients and prospects in the future.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-3 years of investment management experience, preferably within fixed income.
- Strong interest in fixed income markets and portfolio management.
- Attention to detail is vital to the role.
- Fast learner and strong work ethic.
- Experience with Bloomberg. Familiarity with Aladdin Risk, Tableau, and SQL is a plus.
- Experience in fixed income trading is a plus.
- Ability to handle work under pressure and adapt to fast-moving environment.
- Strong communication skills. Client-facing experience is a bonus.
- Eager to learn, contribute, and be part of a team.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION
- Bachelor's degree
- CFA or demonstrated progress toward obtaining credential is required
