FS Investments is looking for a seasoned Technical Program Manager (TPM) who will play a crucial role in driving success of the engineering programs and capabilities we are building for the firm at large.The role seeks a dynamic and results-oriented professional adept at balancing broad responsibilities spanning across program management, roadmap prioritization, implementing agile practices and senior stakeholder communications.
The ideal candidate will work closely with Product, Engineering, Business and Operations and assume bottom line accountability ensuring program and team success. This role is key to the delivery of innovative technology solutions directly contributing to the success and growth of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring prioritization and alignment of the technology transformation roadmap
- Create holistic plans for complex projects and manage the project through to delivery
- Establishing Agile operating model, program increment planning events, scrum and sprint rituals, governance across teams
- Help define the Product Vision and define success metrics (OKRs) for successfully implementation
- Create Software development roadmaps and align different product increments for overall product success
- Manage stakeholder communications, including surfacing risks and influencing resolution and decision making
- Promote usage of Project Management tools (like Azure DevOps) and ensure sprint plans, goals and all documentation is maintained as a practice
- Lead the sprints (and ceremonies) to actively drive towards program success
- Plan and manage sprint demos and provide feedback to scrum teams
- Plan and conduct User Acceptance Testing driving product acceptance
- Lead triage of defects, bugs and track them to closure
- Ensure adherence to overall architecture (HLD/ LLD)
- Ownership for program level status reporting and driving steer co meetings
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of industry experience
- 5+ years as a project manager and/or scrum master
- Ability to balance broad set of responsibilities, while maintaining depth to identify and escalate risks
- Strong program management skills and experience in successfully delivering complex projects
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, with a pragmatic mindset to adapt and apply to an organization’s unique context
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, etc.).
- Deep analytical and problem-solving aptitude
- Self-starter and fast-learner, seeking a fast-paced and rapidly evolving organization
- Team player who enjoys building trusted partnerships with colleagues and stakeholders
- Superior communicator and professional presentation skills
- Efficiency, organization skills and deep attention to detail are imperative
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP and/or Scrum Master certifications are a plus
- Experience in the financial services industry, particularly within investment management, is strongly preferred
