Job Duties: Perform financial investment analytics duties by facilitating new financial index (fixed income, multi-asset and equity) onboarding and integration into the Aladdin production environment. Investigate and resolve complex issues relating to financial index construction, rebalancing, security data attributes and client inquiries on indices. Perform ad-hoc analysis of large financial data sets, pertaining to index construction and operations production analysis, specifically number of exceptions, types of exceptions, root cause of exceptions and gaps in data pipeline. Facilitate quality-control and publish daily index returns and risk analytics through BlackRock’s proprietary Aladdin platform. Ensure high quality data is delivered in a timely manner to our clients to use in investment management decisions. Investigate and resolve complex issues and perform ad-hoc analysis of large datasets, while meeting tight deadlines for client deliverables. Provide high-quality client service and address inquiries in a timely manner. Remain current with BlackRock Aladdin tools and processes to ensure BIS business processes remain at the cutting edge. Understand investment analytics across fixed-income, equity, and multi-asset indices to help clients understand and interpret index exposures, and sources of risk and returns. Ability to effectively explain and summarize index behavior and performance. Initiate and guide improvements to BIS internal index platform to support new business needs, minimize risk and enhance the quality and scale of the business. Facilitate project management for new index projects with responsibility for execution of index deliverables and coordination with colleagues across engineering, business management, market data, research, and production teams.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Management Science, Economics, Financial Engineering or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or as a Senior Analyst, Analyst, or related. Must have two (2) years of experience with the following: SQL and database design and ETL; Agile software development environment (JIRA); Asset-backed securities (ABS); Microsoft Office Suite and Detail-oriented data analysis. Must have any amount of experience with: Mortgage-backed securities (MBS).

For San Francisco, CA Only the salary range for this position is USD$145,000.00 - USD$162,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
