The State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio (STRS Ohio) is seeking a Business Systems Analyst 1 to join the Information Technology Services, Enterprise Solutions team.

Compensation:
$74,520 - $89,424
Work Schedule:
8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday (Onsite)
General Summary:
Under the direction of a relationship manager, provide support to business support teams and users through research and development of technology solutions that enable the user community to manage their business more effectively.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Work directly with the user community, under the guidance of senior analysts, to develop systems enhancements and resolve production problems.
Document specifications, requirements, user manuals, procedures, and other relevant information.
Run test scripts and follow full testing methodology through development and implementation to ensure that quality goals are met.
Monitor trends and new developments in technology; recommend appropriate new technology and enhancements for business applications under the guidance of senior analysts.
Develop and maintain system documentation in accordance with defined standards.
Summary of Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business administration or finance preferred.
One to three years’ experience in relevant business applications preferred.
Experience gathering requirements, conducting business analyses, writing business specifications, developing test plans and data, and verification of results required.
Experience in the use of client-server applications, web-based applications, cloud computing technology and personal computer systems architecture required.
Understanding of relational databases and SQL query tools skills preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with internal and external contacts required.
Excellent organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail required.
Excellent work record of attendance, punctuality and the ability to maintain a flexible work schedule to meet business needs. Occasional evening, weekend and non-regular work hours may be required.
