The North American Sales Operations Director is responsible for optimizing Gen II’s sales process by overseeing and managing sales operations to ensure the sales team operates efficiently and effectively, while achieving sales goals. The Sales Operations Director will also provide data driven insights to sales leadership and collaborates with marketing, finance and human resources. This is a new function we are building at Gen II, and we need a candidate with strong reporting and functional set up capabilities.
Key responsibilities of a Sales Operations Director:
- Sales Process Optimization: Ensure an efficient and streamlined sales process, identifying and implementing areas of improvement.
- Market Segmentation Analysis: Identify and segment the private equity market using industry data as input into territory assignments. Work with sales leadership to develop a data driven approach to cover Centers of Influence (COIs).
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Collecting and analyzing sales data from the Salesforce CRM system and other sources to identify trends, generate insights, and create reports for decision-making.
- Sales Forecasting and Planning: Developing sales forecasts based on data and deal status and stages.
- CRM Management: Overseeing the effective use of the Salesforce CRM system, ensuring data accuracy, and training sales teams on effective CRM usage.
- Sales Enablement: Work with marketing and sales leadership to provide the sales teams with the tools, training, and support they need to perform at their best, including content development and sales presentations.
- Performance Metrics and KPIs: Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure sales performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate and Chair Meetings: New business acceptance, pricing and pipeline meetings.
- Reporting and Functional Set Up: Creation of processes, procedures and reporting mechanisms to support the Sales Operations function.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of relevant sales operations experience in the Financial Services Industry.
- 4-year College Degree required.
- Analytical skills and ability to interpret data.
- Expertise in CRM systems and sales technology, Salesforce experience is ideal.
- Problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team building skills.

Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience building a Sales Operations function from the ground-up.
- Experience/ Understanding of the Private Equity/ Alternative, Hedge or Mutual Fund industry.
- Understanding of Accounting principles.
The salary range for this position is $200,000 - $225,000, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package. Please note that the actual salary offer within that range will depend on the candidate’s experience level.
Work Arrangement
All applicants applying to Gen II Fund Services, LLC must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Please note that all US employees are required to work a hybrid schedule. This position will work a hybrid work schedule from one of our New York offices, comprised of a minimum of two (2) days a week in our office and three (3) days remote.
