Position Description
We are seeking a Treasury and Expense Manager to join our Alternative Operations team. Our global team supports PIMCO’s Alternatives/Structured Products business, which includes complex hedge funds and private equity vehicles. In this role, you will engage key stakeholders including Portfolio Management, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and external service providers to ensure accurate and timely management of team functions for our private hedge funds, private equity hedge fund, private SMA’s, and manage staff focused on expenses, employee time tracking and treasury.

Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage expense management, affiliated service provider, and treasury functions on behalf of the Alternatives business.
Oversee internal and external managed service staff (approximately 15 resources) responsible for day-to-day operations.
Support global teams by providing training and guidance on team policies and procedures.
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders including admins, managed service outsourced providers, vendors, PIMCO executives, and teams in accounting, valuation, tax, operations, cash desk, and portfolio and asset management.
Strategize and implement improved operating models to create scale and efficiencies of business functions, including outsourcing and technology build/buy decisions.
Develop and streamline data and reporting needs for the Alts business, particularly in relation to team functions.
Ensure a proper control environment and assist with audits related to team functions.
Team Responsibilities
Role Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree required.
8-15 years of experience in Treasury/Expense Management.
Experience with private equity hedge structures (3,000+ legal entities) is a plus.
Prior use of expense management systems.
Prior people management experience is desirable.
Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
Proficient in managing multiple priorities while maintaining flexibility to adapt to changing business demands.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, suitable for client meetings.
Good working knowledge of Excel is essential.
Understanding of complex allocation methodologies and Alternatives investment manager accounts payable functions is a plus.
Must be professional and able to work with internal and external clients, proactively responding to inquiries and developing strong working relationships.
PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.
Salary Range: $ 175,000.00 - $ 240,000.00
