Job Description
Ares Management is seeking a Vice President to join our Investor Operations team in Los Angeles or New York. Investor Strategy & Solutions is expanding its team to support the firm’s strategic objectives related to fundraising and client service. This role will assist with bridging the gap between our business and technology teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. The ideal candidate will also have experience with business intelligence tools like Power BI, be familiar with popular coding languages, and be comfortable presenting to senior management.

Reports to: Partner, Head of Investor Operations
Primary functions and responsibilities
Provide coordination and act as the primary point of contact between the business group and Technology teams.
Facilitate clear and effective communication to ensure mutual understanding of goals, requirements, and timelines.
Translate business needs into technical requirements and vice versa.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met.
Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet objectives.
Manage new feature testing and communication between business and technology teams.
Design and develop Power BI dashboards to provide actionable insights.
Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement and present data findings and recommendations to senior management in a clear and concise manner.
Utilize programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL, R) and AI code-assist tools to create advanced data analysis and automate tasks.
Stay updated with the latest technology trends and tools to enhance project outcomes.
Qualifications
Education:
College graduate with a major in Computer Science, Information Technology, or General Business preferred, with outstanding academic record
General Requirements:
Proven experience in a liaison role between business and technology teams.
Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering technology projects.
Proficiency in Power BI and experience in creating dashboards and reports.
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, SQL, and R.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to senior management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience & Skills Required:
7-10 years of experience in technical project management or similar disciplines including product management at a leading technology company
Experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Einstein Analytics)
Experience using coding languages (e.g., R, SQL, Python)
Proficiency with a CRM and managing CRM data. Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
Competencies with Microsoft Office, Excel and handling big data
Experience working with alternative asset classes is a plus, but not required

Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
$175,000 - $210,000 / annum
