What You’ll Do
We are seeking a successful analyst who is a leader, proactive and possesses strong communication skills, along with a problem-solving mindset that enables multitasking in a fast-paced and evolving organization. You are coachable, have a willingness to learn, and perform at a high level under variable workloads. As a growing company, opportunities for internal growth and career development are plentiful.
- Assist the Investment Team in daily, weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly workflows that entail monitoring new securities, performance reporting, tracking characteristics of existing portfolios, and various other tasks.
- Support the Investment Team in ongoing and potential new investment idea due diligence by attending meetings, reviewing presentation materials, and maintaining well-organized notes and files for ongoing review.
- Develop an understanding of existing portfolio construction processes and provide support in maintaining models while providing feedback on enhancements to construction efficiency.
- Develop industry knowledge by reviewing academic research, communicating with outside money managers, and continuously staying up to date on the current market environment.
- Gain an understanding of the tools and technology at our disposal and generate ideas on ways they can be utilized to enhance existing processes for the Investment Team.
- Gain an understanding of different alternative investment strategies and help with diligence efforts and improving research/diligence files & processes as needed.
- Become proficient over time with various Bloomberg tools and functionality that can make processes and models more efficient
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Mathematics/Statistics
- Desire for continuous education by seeking other qualifications (such as the CFA program) or enhancing other technical skills (such as coding)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and OneNote
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
- Intellectual curiosity
