Product Manager, Data Platform
The Data Platform teamis a key part of BAM’s continued growth, managing core data infrastructure, data systems, governance, and operations. The knowledge needed to leverage data plays an increasingly important role in the firm’s core business, resulting in continued investment in data technology.
Role Overview
The Data Platform team is looking for an experienced Product Manager to help us build a state-of-the-art platform and manage the development and lifecycle of our data-driven products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and refine data systems that align with BAM’s strategic goals. The role combines leadership, analytics, and business acumen. The ideal candidate will have strong traditional Product Management experience with a passion for data technology and governance.
In this role, you will:
- Help establish and manage the team’s multi-year strategy
- Manage the Data Platform’s roadmap and management reporting
- Establish, collaborate, and govern BAM’s data standards & practices
- Help with user research, documentation, and communications
- Establish and measure strategic business metrics and KPIs
- Support the business by facilitating cross-functional initiatives and project management
Qualifications
- 8+ years’ experience as a Product Manager, preferably with a focus on data
- Strong understanding of data governance and data management practices
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, across both technical and business teams
- Proficiency in data analysis tools including Databases, SQL, Python, etc.
- A passion for Data as a Product and related data technology
- Strong verbal and written communications
With respect to NY and CA based applicants, the starting base pay range for this role is between $225000 and $250000 annually. The actual base pay is dependent upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, business needs and market demands. This role may also be eligible for bonus compensation and employee benefits.
