Position Overview
The Investor Relations Senior Associate will serve as a product specialist for StepStone’s venture capital and growth equity funds. Core areas of focus include assisting existing and prospective clients with their due diligence processes, managing product knowledge initiatives, and supporting the production of marketing materials and investor communications for both new and existing StepStone venture capital and growth equity funds. The candidate must have a strong command of the venture capital and growth equity market, have a history of successfully responding to detailed investor inquiries and RFPs, as well as excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, monitor, and complete the workflow associated with client service – including formal and informal client requests
- Field product, portfolio, and venture capital/growth equity market-related questions from new and existing investors; coordinating appropriate responses, including preparation of bespoke written content and analysis as appropriate
- Work closely with senior Investment, Marketing and Investor Relations team members to support the coverage of investors and related fundraising efforts
- Liaise with the RFI/RFP team to answer detailed strategy questions and complete initial reviews of fund offering documents
- Support the production and content creation for StepStone’s annual investor conference
- Manage firm-wide product knowledge initiatives including the development of training modules and learning management systems for venture capital and growth equity
Basic Qualifications
- 4-6 years of prior investment, consulting, or investor relations experience with a specific focus on venture capital, growth equity or private equity. Completion of CFA and/or CAIA credential program preferred
- Demonstrated track record of effectively managing projects across multiple functions to respond to complex, time-sensitive requests
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Marketing or Communications preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

- Strong sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize multiple in-process deliverables at the same time
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external parties

Salary Range: $97,750 - $135,000
The salary range is an estimate of pay for this position. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related factors that can include location, education, skill, and experience. The salary range does not include any benefits or other forms of possible compensation that may be available to employees.
