About the LatAm Client Coverage Team
This team is responsible for interfacing with retail and institutional clients to introduce DWS investment solution and product capabilities in the LatAm region. This position will support existing senior institutional distribution team members based in the United States in driving client meeting preparation, client meeting follow-up, reporting, competitive positioning, and technical sales support across our suite of solutions and products. As a member of the Client Coverage Division (CCD), and along the side of senior team members, you will develop relationships with prospects, clients, and business partners across the firm. In addition, you will develop deep subject matter knowledge of DWS’ client investment solutions and their use in client portfolios and businesses.
Role Details
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Work with our Relationship Management team on a day-to-day basis to service existing and potential institutional clients in Latin America.
- You will be responsible for managing some specific relationships in coordination with our Relationship Management team.
- Provide client support at all levels (provide product materials & regular updates, assist clients during the onboarding process, legal documentation, portfolio management updates, trading activities and problem solving).
- Engage with local regulators and clients in liaison with new product registrations, maintenance, and regular reporting on existing positions.
- As a transfer manager working in close coordination with our teams in Europe & US for the approval of sales materials to be distributed in the different Latin American countries.
- Financial reporting by coordinating with transfer agents and finance departments to ensure the accuracy of the financial information related to the LatAm business at a client/product level.
- Build strong partnerships with the members of the Institutional team and internal colleagues across all departments of the firm including corporate communications, investment specialists & strategists, portfolio managers, compliance, and others.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Your Skills & Experience:
- BA/BS degree, or equivalent, preferably in business
- FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses a plus
- Language skills in Spanish, Portuguese, or both
- Product knowledge in investment products with experience in capital investment products and Latin American client management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be detail-oriented and have an analytical mindset with the ability to deliver key insights through ‘out of the box’ thinking
- Pro-active and ability work independently
- Strong financial/reporting and analytical skills
- Experienced with Excel (advanced user), Word and Powerpoint.
- Self- motivated and enthusiastic team player, able to work with others in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Execute tactically on a day-to-day basis
