About The Team
Virtus from FIS is a leading provider of alternative investment services and technology solutions, specializing in delivering comprehensive front, middle, and back-office services to asset managers, banks, and other institutional investors. Virtus helps its clients manage their alternative investment portfolios, including CLO/CDOs, private equity, hedge funds, and other alternative assets.
What You Will Be Doing
The Fund Administration team is a growing, fast-paced business unit responsible for maintaining direct client relationships, as well as the day-to-day accounting and administration of open and closed-end funds managed by clients.
- Process shareholder activity within allocation tables and reconcile to the TA platform, working closely with clients to resolve inquiries and ensure client satisfaction
- Prepare monthly GAV work paper package and perform all month-end reconciliations (including cash, positions, market price, market value, and accrued interest/dividends) to supporting schedules and trial balance
- Assist with year-end audits and client onboarding which includes, but not limited to, loading of client's tax lots, cash balance and trial balance onto the accounting platform
- Calculate net assets for partnerships and unitized funds, allocate profit and loss to each investor, encompassing calculations for management fees and incentive fees
- Coordinate the preparation and distribution of investor capital statements, as well as process investor and shareholder activity to ensure client month-end and reporting deliverables are satisfied
- Perform AML/KYC checks on investors following company procedures and client instructions
- Facilitate transaction settlements and wire transfers
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
- Typically, at least 2 years' experience in middle office operations or fund accounting with private equity or hedge funds/hedge fund administration (HFA)
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills
- Working knowledge of securities and fixed income assets
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to multi-task, take initiative, as well as meet deadlines without constant supervision

- Structured products knowledge (Term Loans, Revolvers, Delayed Draws, ABS)
- Direct work experience with fund accounting platforms (Geneva, Investran, etc.)

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $62,170.00 - $101,340.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
