Summary: As a Financial Controller of FundBank, you will be responsible for the financial reporting and operations of the bank. Ensuring that the bank's financial statements and regulatory returns are accurate, timely, and comply with regulatory requirements. You will also work closely with senior management to provide financial analysis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the daily management of the bank’s financial operations and controls (AP, AR, Cash).
- Responsible for month-end financial close and the preparation of the bank's financial statements and regulatory returns (e.g. Pillar III, ICAAP) ensuring they are accurate, timely, and comply with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct financial analysis to provide insights to DoF/HoF/CFO and senior management on the bank's financial performance, and provide recommendations on areas for improvement.
- Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including the board of directors, ALCO, regulatory authorities, and shareholders.
- Work closely with other departments, such as Risk Management, Banking Operations and Custody, to provide financial support and guidance.
- Manage the bank's budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring that financial plans align with the bank's strategic objectives.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring that the bank is in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, bankers and shareholders.
REQUIREMENTS

- Qualified accountant – CPA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent.
- At least 7 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insights to senior management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of banking operations, products, and regulations is preferred.
- A background in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and experience with data analytical tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau) would be an advantage.
