Division Manager, East Region – Managing Director, Community Development Banking
JPMorganChase’s Community Development Real Estate Banking (CDRE) business is a national leader in community development finance for affordable housing and economic development projects. Through our resources, CDRE offers financing for projects of any size and complexity, including acquisition loans, bridge loans, construction financing, letters of credit to support bond transactions, and long-term permanent taxable and tax-exempt financing for Low Income Housing Tax Credit developments. CDRE's clients include: for-profit and not-for-profit developers; government entities engaged in housing and economic development; and community-based organizations.
As a Division Manager, East Region - Managing Director, Community Development Banking within JPMorganChase’s Community Development Real Estate Banking (CDRE), you will be responsible for leading and supervising the delivery of affordable housing and banking products to clients based in the East Region. The East Region covers Maine to Florida with offices in Boston, New York City, Washington D.C., Atlanta, and Tampa. You will lead a team of bankers, develop and implement business strategy, identify opportunities for new products, and actively participate in initiatives designed to mitigate risk and improve client satisfaction. This role offers the opportunity to leverage your experience in affordable housing, community development, and management to make a significant impact on our clients and communities.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead a team of bankers, driving a diverse and inclusive culture focused on high employee engagement and retention
- Develop and implement business strategy, and influence change through effective relationship management across a wide network of partners
- Prioritize and identify top prospect and client relationships; track pipeline and develop reporting of team efforts and results
- Identify opportunities for new products, enhancements to meet industry-specific needs
- Research, maintain, and distribute key industry information including industry financial comparisons, market leaders, competitor insight, regulatory issues and trends
- Actively participate, syndicate, innovate and support process, policy and technology initiatives designed to mitigate risk; improve speed, quality and overall client satisfaction
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- 10 plus years affordable housing, community development and management experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Skills should include experience in structuring, underwriting, closing, and administering commercial real estate construction loans for affordable multifamily housing, deep industry relationships with borrowers and real estate centers of influence
- Demonstrated experience leading cross functional teams within a business development environment
- Extensive knowledge of mortgage products, financial services, lending, and real estate compliance in addition to sales management techniques
- Divergent managerial skills including delegation, coaching and demonstrated leadership abilities among peers, team members and senior executives
