The Account Transactions (IRA) Team Lead is responsible for supporting the day-to-day system, and processes of the IRA department. This includes assisting Client Specialists and Financial Advisors that are seeking information related to regulatory IRA compliance, Workflows, Procedures, and any other related platforms. The Team Lead will be responsible for questions and concerns from other business units within Baird. The Team Lead will function as a Coach, or Mentor to other members on the team, which includes managing escalated issues from the team, or other business partners. The team lead will proactively incorporate external and internal feedback to drive improvements to standard service, and processes. The Team Lead will help implement new processes, and best practices that will support the business.
As An Account Transactions (IRA) Team Lead You Will
- Assist in day-to-day oversight of the Account transactions IRA team.
- Providing ongoing guidance as well as defining training for New Policy and Procedures that are required by the IRS, or Congress.
- Identify opportunities for business productivity and ensure data integrity expertise throughout the team process.
- Assist in escalated issues directly from the field, systems, and team as well as support from other product support departments as needed.
- Assist in relationship management with other departments and business units to develop partnerships to provide high value client service to internal and external partners in the field.
- Develop Guidelines, Firm parameters (FARM), Best Practices in support of the business.
- Maintain understanding of issues with internal partners, and share information and key updates with both management, and associates.
- Promote best practices for associates to support a cohesive team environment.
- Maintain relationships with vendors as needed.
- Engage team members in Webinars, and new Regulatory changes which includes IRS Notices, Tax Repoting changes, all Regulatory changes which includes New IRA codes, and any Form updates.
- Take lead on SOC1 projects, or FINRA related items

Education
What we look for:
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent of at least 5-7 years of IRA experience.
Knowledge/Experience
- 5-7 years if relevant professional experience in the financial services industry required.
- Experience working with Branch associates and being able to navigate across business units.
- Background in applicable systems- BETA, Thomson ONE, or LiquidOffice platforms preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with the ability to effectively navigate the platforms.
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Strong analytical skills
