Associate, Fund Controller:
This position is focused on our internally managed hedge funds, separately managed accounts, and private equity funds. Key areas include the review of the daily P&L reconciliation, monthly close, calculation of management and incentive fees, annual fund’s financial statement review, monitor fund expenses, regulatory reporting.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the year end audit and ensure audit deliverables are met.
- Perform detailed financial statement reviews, tie-outs to supporting work papers, and provide value added comments
- Liaise with internal resources (Investor Relations, Middle Office, Tax, Legal, etc.), fund administrator and external auditors to ensure we meet our monthly, quarterly and annual reporting deadlines
- Preparing and reviewing investor allocation schedules, fee calculations including (but not limited to) management fees and incentive fees
- Review investor capital activity
- Review fund doc materials and agreements
- Review quarterly regulatory reporting (Form PF, AIFMD, etc)
- Prepare daily, weekly, and month end gross/net estimate
- Develop and implement documentation for fund processes / policies and procedures
- Enhance, automate and streamline work processes
- Detail oriented team player
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Participate in adhoc projects
- Conduct review of monthly Fund NAV packages released by the fund administrator.
- Review fund expenses and coordinate invoice payments
Job Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of hedge fund accounting from a hedge fund or a fund administrator
- Understanding of hedge fund accounting, p&l allocations and fee calculations
- Familiarity with various product types preferred (equities, fixed income, swaps, options, futures, etc)
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple deliverables
- CPA preferred, but not required
- MS Office, with strong Excel skills
- Strong Communication skills, including the ability to face off with external clients and senior management
- Highly organized, accountable with a sense of ownership, high level of detail orientation
Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $90,000 - $110,000
The salary offered will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and qualifications.
