We are actively seeking an experienced structured notes salesperson to join our team and focus on new and existing account relationships to increase sales and distribution. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success combined with strong industry relationships. We are looking for someone that is self-motivated, enthusiastic and team oriented with in depth knowledge and understanding of structured investments.
Responsibilities:
- Sell structured notes across an array of customers (RIAs, HNW, Money MGRs, Institutions, etc…)
- Note examples: Fixed/Step-ups/Callable/Market-linked/Range Accruals/Steepeners & more.
- Profile and target new account relationships trading and interested in structured notes.
- Work directly with the trading desk customizing structures that fit clients’ objectives - for example (Callable yield note - GS 5yNC6m Auto callable10% p.a. SPX|NDX|RTY 70/70)
- Focused on selling both new issues and secondary positions.
- Work with the trading desk in presentations and education to targeted accounts.
- Provide exceptional sales service and the ability to travel when needed.
- Work with Mesirow’s Wealth Advisors to sell notes to their clients.
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
Must have 2+ years’ experience selling structured notes to accounts.
Bachelor’s Degree and FINRA Series 7 & 63 licenses.
Established list of accounts and industry relationships.
Strong knowledge and experience of structured notes and fixed income sales.
Proven track record of consistently exceeding revenue targets.
Possess excellent analytical, problem solving, communication and negotiation skills.
Participation in working collaboratively with trading desks on improving workflows and implementing new processes. Digital experience a plus.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Bloomberg, Simon, Salesforce, and other CRM systems.
Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and the ability to thrive and exceed goals in a fast-paced environment.

In accordance with the Illinois and New York City’s Pay Transparency Law, the anticipated hiring base salary for the role will be between $75,000 and $150,000 per year. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, also provides the opportunity for a commission and discretionary performance bonus and the Mesirow benefit program.
