The Director, Distribution Strategy will be a key part of the Harris | Oakmark distribution team. This role will work closely with the Head of Distribution and other members of the distribution team to strategize and execute on the team’s strategic distribution initiatives globally.
Success in this role means having a proactive, hands-on, and collaborative attitude. This individual will need to excel in an action-oriented environment and be proactive in establishing productive relationships with key stakeholders throughout the process.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Conducting market intelligence utilizing industry data to help the team prioritize which distribution regions and client segments are most attractive.
- Work closely with product development to determine what strategies and investment vehicles are most appropriate for our global distribution teams.
- Utilize data and analytics to uncover new distribution channels for the firm.
- Partner with Distribution Enablement and IT to implement data-driven competitive intelligence on industry peers.
- Review and access the firm’s distribution effectiveness by implementing processes to review KPI’s and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in the investment management industry experience, ideally with experience in strategy & distribution enablement.
- Strong academic credentials with an advanced business degree, CFA designation or other evidence of financial markets expertise
- Ability to translate data into an actionable distribution and business strategy.
- Possess personal qualities compatible with a highly collegial and collaborative culture.
- These include self-confidence, maturity, and comfort in a team environment, high energy level, high professional standards, and unquestionable integrity.
- Solid understanding of financial markets and a demonstrated interest in long-term investing
- Evidence of increasing responsibility and success

Actual annual base salaries may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, and other job-related factors. If hired, base pay will be determined on an individualized basis and is only one part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include a discretionary performance bonus and other Harris sponsored benefit programs.
