Portfolio Manager Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Derivatives and Digital Assets (DDA) team within BGM as a Portfolio Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing investment solutions involving multiple strategies and asset classes using both physical and derivative exposures. Your responsibilities will include the day-to-day management of our Exchange-traded funds and Institutional portfolios, conducting risk and performance analysis, and driving investment and business process transformation.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference and possess the expertise to make it happen. Ideal candidates should be both Students of the Market and Students of Technology, demonstrating a keen understanding of financial markets and technological advancements.
Your Role and Impact
DDA Portfolio Management handles all aspects of portfolio activity, including asset allocation, risk and performance management, and support for client queries. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for managing multi-asset client portfolios, primarily focusing on Currency Overlays and Outcome-based solutions. The individual will contribute to new business and product development while actively developing the systems and processes used to support a diverse and growing book of business.
Your Responsibilities
- Assist in managing all aspects of multi-asset investment strategies, focusing on the usage of derivative instruments.
- Provide support to senior portfolio managers on daily portfolio management tasks, including liquidity management, portfolio re-balancing, and risk and performance management.
- Partner with senior portfolio managers and internal stakeholders driving outcome-oriented ETF platform evolution and product innovation
- Use market experience and knowledge to contribute to system and process development.
- Provide analytical and qualitative support to portfolio design and new product development.
You Have
We’re looking for individuals, from a variety of backgrounds, who have:
- 5+ years in investment industry/portfolio management
- Expertise in options and structured solutions
- Strong knowledge of capital markets and portfolio management theory
- Analytical and quantitative skills
- Proficient in Python, APIs, SQLAlchemy, Pandas, and NumPy
- Experience with financial engineering and software development best practices
- Knowledge of structured derivative strategies (options, forwards, OTC derivatives)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication, Well-organized, teamwork, and relationship-building skills
For San Francisco, CA Only the salary range for this position is USD$116,000.00 - USD$155,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
