OverviewPosition Summary:
The Sr. Associate, Data Analytics, Security Risk, & Reporting position is responsible for the planning, building, delivery and support of the Data and Analytics program. This role will provide direction and guidance to the Information Security and IT Governance programs in the development, specifications, and communications required for understanding information security risk, regulatory compliance, data quality in pipelines, and generating metrics and reporting for various functions. This role supports the CISO’s ability to make informed risk decisions through thoughtful analytics and effective reporting from reliable data sources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assesses the completeness, accuracy, and validity of integrations between information systems and makes recommendations to enable secure and efficient information exchange
• Assesses business process and systems documentation to understand relevant risks
• Ensures that data quality is maintained to provide assurance to generated insights
• Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation for ETL processes including data mapping, transformation rules, and workflow design
• Facilitates development of KPIs and KRIs needed to drive program strategic goals
• Builds and manages dashboards and key reports for executive, business, and technical stakeholders
• Aligns risk management, data analytics, and reporting activities to demonstrate regulatory compliance and sound risk management
Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities:
• Minimum five years experience in data analytics and reporting for information security risk management
• Experience in risk management reporting in support of regulatory compliance
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to translate security-related matters into business terms that are clear to executives
• Ability to explain business process and systems integration documentation
• Familiarity with programming languages like Python, JavaScript, C#, etc.
• Ability to demonstrate intermediate web development knowledge concepts including HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, etc.)
• Ability to create and handle RESTful APIs and work with JSON and XML data formats
• Familiarity with API authentication and authorization mechanism (E.g., Oauth, JWT)
• Expert knowledge of reporting with the ability to create and lead others in report development in PowerBI and equivalent tools
• Ability to transform information security risk management information into tailored reports that support and inform the annual information security risk assessment
• Thinks outside the box when designing systems and solutions
• Able to navigate a demanding and high-pressure environment
• Can think strategically and incorporate business needs into technical roadmaps
• Strong problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
Education and Experience:
• Undergraduate degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field required.
• Graduate degree in data analytics preferred.
• Experience working in the financial services or other highly regulated industries preferred
• Solid understanding of project management principles.
• Demonstrated understanding of Big Data, Data Pipelines and Data Architecture
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registration
• Security certifications: One of CISSP, CISM, CRISC or other relevant certifications required.
• Project Management: PMP preferred
Location & Compensation
• Location: This is 100% remote position and can be based anywhere in the US.
• Base compensation is expected to be $115,000-135,000 with the opportunity for incentive compensation including bonus compensation.
