Job Summary
The Yardi System Administrator is responsible for the administration and support of the software, including environment security, software upgrades, implementation of enhancements, management of open issues list, and configuration requests, with the goal of ensuring business teams are able to use the system efficiently and accurately. This role will interface regularly with Fund Management & Accounting, Investor Relations, and Tax and will report to the IT Business Applications Manager.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for system administration, including maintenance of user security groups, new user set-up and security management, and general user security.
- Manage system upgrades, including working with the business teams to create and execute a test plan to ensure efficient rollouts.
- Support data population, including via ETL as needed.
- Maintain property lists and account trees to support reporting, including removal of unused records as needed.
- Delete transactions as needed with appropriate approval.
- Monitor new entity/record setup for completeness and consistency.
- Work directly with business teams to capture customization requests, consulting with business users on Yardi functionality, capturing technical requirements as well as business use cases and building project plans for implementation, including prioritization.
- Oversee and complete system customization or configuration.
- Maintain and appropriately use Prime Finance’s Yardi test databases to ensure changes are thoroughly tested and avoid introducing risk into the production environment.
- Manage user support, including system training, troubleshooting, answering usage questions, and supporting the documentation of system processes.
- Support the extraction of data, including queries as needed to provide answers related to data.
- Work with the Senior Manager, AI and Data Solutions and the Database Engineer as needed to keep Yardi database in sync with Juniper Square, hCue, Built Deal Management, Center and other systems that depend on Yardi data.
- Continuously evaluate Prime Finance’s use of Yardi and related processes and assist in the development process enhancements.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience implementing relevant Yardi modules or administering Yardi required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, finance or a related discipline or commensurate work experience required.
- Expert level knowledge of Yardi database structure and Yardi Accounting and Investment Accounting modules required.
- SQL query knowledge and experience with import/export tools required.
- 2-3 years of experience working at an advanced level with core Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required, and experience with extended Microsoft Suite (Lists, Visio, SharePoint, Forms, PowerBI, Teams, etc.) strongly preferred.
- Experience with Yardi Investment Manager (Portal), Yardi Debt Manager, Yardi customization tools and Yardi ETL strongly preferred.
- Experience with implementing, using or maintaining Juniper Square, Argus or other similar systems valued.
- Experience in/exposure to real estate, tax, accounting, fundraising, investor relations and/or finance sectors valued.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels internally and with external vendors.
- Ability to quickly learn and understand Prime Finance current processes, requirements, and technology stack.
Logistical Requirements (logistical requirements are subject to change based on business need but are anticipated to be):
- Ability to work four full business days a week in Prime’s San Francisco office.
- Ability to travel to conferences and other Prime offices up to 20%.
The expected salary for this role is $98,500 - $150,000. Actual compensation will be determined by several components, including but not limited to: relevant experience, skills and qualifications, base salary of internal peers, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and a variety of financial, wellbeing, and health / welfare benefits.
