JOB DESCRIPTION
The trade support and documentation specialist role is central to our trading operations. This role entails management of trading agreements primarily, and involvement in regulatory adherence and protocols. It requires a functional understanding of fixed income, equity and derivative products affected by such agreements and requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review, draft and assist in processing onboarding documents, netting and collateral documents, trading agreements, including but not limited to: ISDA Master Agreements, CSA, VMCSA, MSFTA, futures and clearing agreements
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes, including CFTC, EMIR and other global regulation; be in a capacity to advise on business risk and solutions
- Liaise internally with different departments, including but not limited to legal, trading, compliance, derivative operations, portfolio operations and RFP teams
- Liaise with sell-side legal, credit and other departments as needed to finalize agreements and onboard accounts for local market and derivative trading
- Keep manager and other relevant stakeholders appraised of pending agreements and documentation progress
- Assist in maintaining relevant client documents, internal databases and other sources of information and information sharing relevant to trade support
- Reply to inquiries on a day-to-day basis
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with trading agreements (including but not limited to ISDA and MSFTA), industry protocols and regulations
- Experience with Markit Counterparty Manager/ISDA Amend, TriOptima (TriResovle, TriCalculate) preferred
- In-depth understanding of fixed income securities and derivatives, cleared and uncleared
- Strong written and vermal communication skills, must have the ability to convey complex terms in a simple manner
- Ability to work closely and collaboratively with other departments
- Strong attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
