Role Summary
As the Physical Security Officer-Team Lead you will be responsible for assisting and communicating the management team with daily operations of Physical Security personnel, guide a shift, lead, or coordinate special projects, perform routine duties, and assist in officer training.
This onsite position will be based out of our Kansas City, MOoffice. Please note that this position is second shift (3pm-11pm).

How You Will Make an Impact
Lead the shift by maintaining the schedule of physical security personnel, assigning the day-to-day rotation, guiding event and area activity, providing guidance and direction to officers, providing shift information to relieving shift personnel.
Advise management regarding assignment of goals to physical security staff.
Give feedback to management for officer evaluations/reviews, as well as training needs.
Lead all aspects of physical security officer activity levels and other related records.
Prepare and provide requested reports to management.
Review incident reports on shift prior to submission and/or completion.
Communicate shift and physical security officer activities with management.
Lead physical security requirements and capacity needs during events involving ACI and tenants and other duties as assigned.
Communicate training needs of personnel and facilitate “in-service training” refresher training to Physical Security staff.
Protect company properties, employees, and assets by patrolling buildings and grounds.
Provide protective escorts as needed or upon request.
Investigate safety and security incidents when assigned.
Complete incident reports and other required documents as needed.
What You Bring to the Team (Required)
Minimum of five years’ experience in law enforcement or security with at least one year experience in a lead officer role.
Possess a current Kansas City, Missouri Police Department Private Officer’s Commission license or qualified to obtain proper KCPD license.
Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications or the ability to obtain.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, approachable demeanor are essential.
Proven customer service skills.
Experience in providing training both in a one-on-one and classroom setting.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Familiarity with and ability to operate various types of safety and security solutions and equipment.
Possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with various computer software programs, with the ability to quickly understand and operate new software programs. Be able to type a minimum of forty words a minute.
Ability to balance confidential information in a sensitive manner.
Ability to react calmly in emergency and dangerous situations.
Ability to take care of uncooperative or combative individuals.
Ability to be flexible and work in a continuously changing environment.
Ability to work varied shifts and overtime as required.
