Brown Advisory is actively seeking an Institutional Product Analyst to join the Institutional business’ product team which is responsible for administration, management and oversight of the vehicles leveraged to deliver investment strategies to our clients. This role is ideal for individuals who have garnered experience within the asset management industry, especially in administration, accounting and/or product management related to Mutual Funds, Collective Investment Trusts, Exchange Traded Funds and separately managed accounts.
The selected candidate will play a crucial role in bolstering our investment platform via the expansion of our commercial vehicles. The role supports various Boards of Directors and works with a number of third-party administrators and vendors that serve our business. We understand the importance of equipping our team with the tools they need to succeed, which is why we offer comprehensive on-the-job training to ensure you are well-prepared to meet the challenges of the role.
As an Institutional Product Analyst, you will be expected to exhibit a high level of attention to detail in all tasks, whether they involve handling complex financial data or engaging with client inquiries. Your proactive approach to problem-solving will be essential in anticipating the needs of the business and offering timely solutions. Moreover, your flexibility will be key in adapting to the evolving demands of the marketplace and the varied needs of our diverse client base.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee operational aspects of Pooled Vehicles: Review NAV calculations, financial reporting, and performance analysis.
- Vendor Oversight: Ensuring that key vendors are delivering optimal performance.
- Ensure regulatory compliance: Adhere to regulations and guidelines from relevant regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders: Liaise with fund managers, custodians, auditors, and service providers for fund activities.
- Record-keeping: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all fund activities.
- Reporting: Prepare and distribute detailed fund reports to stakeholders promptly.
- Policy and procedure development: Assist in creating and applying fund policies and procedures.
- Investor relations: Respond to investor inquiries and provide necessary information.
- Process improvement: Enhance ownership processes for increased efficiency and accuracy.
- Cash flow monitoring: Oversee global cash activities across multiple institutional vehicles.
- Trading oversight: Monitor short-term trading activities.
- Capital movement tracking: Monitor daily investor inflows and outflows.
- Fund expansion support: Assist in the launch of new sub-funds and other expansion initiatives.
- Cross-divisional collaboration: Work with Brown Advisory’s core divisions to support business development and growth.
- Sales team support: Offer product expertise and respond to related queries.
- Product knowledge: Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of product features, benefits, and capabilities.
- Market awareness: Keep updated on product developments, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of industry experience
- Well-rounded understanding of investment concepts (Equity and Fixed Income needed)
- Superior knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Advanced Excel skills
- Articulate, self-motivated, a quick learner, and a team player.
- A calm pragmatic and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to deliver consistent results.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize day-to-day activities.
- Appetite to sit for aligned industry certifications.
Salary: $85-$125k. Commensurate with experience and location. Does not include bonus or long term incentive eligibility (if applicable).
