What does a successful Director of Program Management do at Fiserv?
A successful Director of Program Management at Fiserv leads and oversees multiple large-scale projects, ensuring their timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality delivery. This role involves managing critical initiatives, including significant projects like data center relocations, to maintain our operational excellence and strategic objectives.
What You Will Do
- Lead and manage the Program Management Office (PMO), establishing best practices for project management aligned with organizational goals.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of large projects, ensuring timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, developing and adjusting comprehensive project plans as necessary.
- Implement risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential project risks, ensuring successful outcomes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and performance metrics.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, mentoring project management personnel and incorporating lessons learned into future projects
What You Will Need To Have
- 10+ years of experience in program or project management, with a proven track record of managing large, complex projects.
- 8+ years of experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira).
- 8+ years of experience in leadership roles, demonstrating exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to motivate teams and build strong stakeholder relationships.
- PMP or similar project management certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field; and/or military experience.
What Would Be Great To Have
- Master’s degree preferred, and/or equivalent military experience.
