The Offshore Distribution Team is responsible for providing investment capabilities to clients across Latin America, covering both institutional as well as retail clients. We’re looking for an experienced Associate to develop new business opportunities, contribute to territory management and elevate client partnership across Latin America as part of a lean team.
We’ll trust you to:
- Work as part of a team focused on Latin American clients to cultivate and manage client relationships
- Provide exceptional partnership to our clients, responding to requests and inquiries as quickly and thoughtfully as possible
- Coordinate across internal teams and external stakeholders to onboard new clients or to facilitate client account requests
- Manage SalesForce data within key territories, including maintaining sales pipeline and new business development information
- Support team’s overall territory management, business planning, and reporting by tracking flows to identify trends with clients and prospects, ultimately deepening client relationships and elevating Lazard’s offerings
- Partner with the team to develop both recurring and individual marketing campaigns that build awareness of Lazard’s brand and product offerings with clients and prospects
- Cultivate and leverage an extensive knowledge base of Lazard’s investment platform, philosophies, and asset allocations to tailor recommendations for current and prospective clients
- Help generate new business opportunities through meetings with clients, utilizing databases, news alerts, and competitive analysis
You’ll need to have:
- 1 to 3 years of experience at an asset management or wealth management firm (Relationship management experience is preferred)
- Previous experience in working with institutional or retail clients in Latin America is a plus
- Both written and verbal fluency in Spanish
- A passion for the asset management industry, particularly within Latin America
- Working knowledge of UCITS funds and ETFs is preferable
- A desire to work in a high-performing environment with dedication to excellence
- The ability to work as a great teammate, collaborate across businesses, and contribute individually
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Proven ability to multi-task and move quickly, thoughtfully
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Strong verbal communications skills and comfort engaging all levels of firm management
- Series 7 & 63 are required. Once hired, Series 31 must be obtained within 4 months

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $100,000 - $130,000. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. Base salary is one component of Lazard’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
