The Corporate Communications Associate will be an integral part of the Corporate Engagement team, assisting with all aspects of internal and external communications. This position will report to the Head of Corporate Communications.
The successful candidate is expected to:
- Assist with the creation and distribution of internal and external messaging to key audiences.
- Draft core communications materials (press releases, internal emails, talking points, Q&As, interview briefing documents, etc.).
- Manage the drafting and distribution of communications to employees pertaining to firm initiatives, product launches, policy changes, internal programs, milestones and significant events.
- Build strong relationships and collaborate with other key stakeholders across the firm to ensure consistency in strategy and messaging.
- Manage company intranet site and digital signage platforms.
- Identify compelling award opportunities for the firm and complete applications and follow-up items.
- Work across the Corporate Engagement team on development of employee engagement, volunteerism and other culture-enhancing employee programs and create related communications materials.
- Assist with profile-raising initiatives for CEO and other senior executives.
- Actively monitor and synthesize media coverage for senior leadership.
- Manage Drexel University Co-op program for Corporate Communications team, including leading interview process and acting as day-to-day manager and mentor to Co-op.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3-5 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a related field. Prior experience in the financial services industry is highly desirable
- Exceptional writing skills, with the proven ability to write, edit, and proofread content on a variety of complex topics
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, maturity and the ability to work and collaborate well with peers, managers and executives, while also working individually
- Ability to handle multiple, high-priority initiatives in a fast-paced organization
- Extremely high attention to detail
- Demonstrated flexibility and versatility to pivot with shifting priorities
- Experience with social media platforms (LinkedIn, X) and email marketing software (e.g., MailChimp) preferred
